福利姬 is a student-centered, community engaged institution whose mission is to offer an accessible, quality higher education. Designated a Doctoral University – High Research Activity (R2), a Hispanic-Serving Institution, and “Community Engaged” by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education, 福利姬 offers more than 90 bachelor’s degree programs, more than 60 master’s degree programs, and 10 doctoral programs across eight colleges and three campuses to its approximately 21,000 students. About half of those students are first-generation, and we are proud to have been named one of the top universities in Texas for social mobility by U.S. News & World Report two years in a row.

Founded in 1879, 福利姬 offers a variety of innovative and flexible degree programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels focused on career readiness, personal and professional development, and service.
Hometown Highlights
Huntsville, Texas, is located on the edge of the Piney Woods of East Texas and conveniently between Houston and Dallas on the I-45 corridor. Many faculty members call nearby and home too.
