Murray Smither Collection

The Department of Art is honored to be the beneficiary of a diverse collection of art that includes historical early works of Texas art, works from the 1970’s and 80’s by prominent Texas artists, visionary outsider art, folk art, prison art, and works by internationally recognized American artists.

Michael Galbreth Visiting Artist Series Endowment

To honor the memory of Houston artist Michael Galbreth and his devotion to his students, the Department of Art has established a fund in his name to support a Visiting Artists and Guest Lecture series.
